Michael combines the discipline of a chartered accountant with an operator's instinct for building teams, platforms and long-term enterprise value.
Michael Mercieca is a Chartered Accountant with over two decades of professional experience. He began his career in 2003 with Deloitte, where he simultaneously pursued and completed his ACCA qualification.
Building on this foundation, he completed a Diploma in Taxation with the Malta Institute of Taxation and an Advanced Diploma in International Taxation with the Chartered Institute of Taxation, achieving the latter, ordinarily a three-year programme, within a single year.
Michael specialised first in audit and then in corporate and personal taxation, later expanding his expertise to include immigration and international mobility services.

Michael co-founded QLZH Holding p.l.c., the listed group behind QuickLets and Zanzi Homes. What began as an entrepreneurial property venture has grown into Malta's leading estate-agency network, with over 35 offices and more than 700 property professionals.

Together with his brother Steve and entrepreneur Jack Cator, Michael expanded into technology by co-founding Houzit, a business-to-business platform designed to support and modernise the property industry.
Michael and Steve also founded Anadea Capital, an affiliate entity of QLZH p.l.c. that applies disciplined, long-term investment thinking to backing emerging tennis talent.
